Individual Yoga Therapy Consultations
Individual consultations give the opportunity to work one to one with Barbara and focus on your personal needs.
What to expect:
The initial consultation is usually 90 minutes long and we discuss your particular health concerns, symptoms, and how they are affecting you on a day to day basis. Barbara will assess your current abilities in regard to breath & movement and design an initial practice, that meets these needs, for home use
Follow up sessions are 60 minutes long. During these sessions, we will review your practice and add or subtract postures as necessary to encourage your progress.
Practice plans vary dependant on each persons needs and goals, however, generally include a breath based movement practice and simple breathing exercises. Barbara may also make some recommendations around diet and lifestyle where appropriate.
You are provided with a comprehensive written and visual guide of your practice, so that you can easily follow along at home.
Yoga therapy is an investment in your well-being. It is highly effective in many situations however, does require personal commitment to an ongoing self care regime. With this in mind, Barbara recommends a minimum of three sessions, preferably six, in order to affect change.
Individual Therapy Consultation Fees:
- Initial consultation (90 minutes) $125.00
- 60 minutes – $90.00
- Prepay 3 – $240 (excludes initial session)
- Prepay 6 – $450 (excludes initial session)
Barbara sees clients for individual yoga therapy from her clinic in Grey Lynn, by appointment.
