Group Yoga Therapy Classes

Barbara conducts small group yoga therapy classes specifically for people who are experiencing similar health challenges and/or symptoms. These classes are generally held in five-week blocks.

Utilising the wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda, the classes are both practical and educational, empowering participants with information and methods, that can be easily incorporated into their daily lives. Students receive comprehensive visual and written programs for home practice, that encourage progress towards greater health.

Class numbers are limited to five participants to ensure that each person’s needs are met and the personalised approach of yoga therapy is not lost. The classes are very accessible however, they may not always be appropriate, for example where there is an acute injury. In these cases, individual therapy consultations are recommended.

Healthy Backs programs are useful for anyone suffering from persistent back pain. You will learn to release unhealthy postural and movement patterns while progressively releasing tension, improving mobility, and building strength.

These yoga classes are beneficial for people living with auto-immune disorders such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, rheumatoid arthritis, etc. Gentle movement and breathing exercises, combined with restorative postures, will help restore energy and assist in pain reduction.

Womens Health Workshops

Barbara is passionate about women’s health and presents regular workshops to assist women in accessing greater menstrual and reproductive health with practices from yoga and it’s sister science Ayurveda.

These workshops are useful for beginners to yoga as well as those building on previous experience and will educate you in the use of yoga and ayurveda to best support you as a woman, at the various stages of life. They will also be very useful for yoga teachers wishing to understand how to better assist and support their female students.
